PALAKKAD: The court has asked not to cremate the bodies of the four Maoists gunned down in an encounter with police at Manjikandy, till November 4. The court direction came on the plea filed by the relatives of Karthik and Manivasik killed in the gunbattle.
Palakkad district sessions court passed the order. The court will consider the complaint again on November 2nd. The complaint has asked to follow Supreme Court ruling on encounter killings. The plea has voiced many demands including a re-postmortem.
Mathura bench of Madras High Court has permitted the relatives of Manivasik to see his body. The court permitted his relatives to see his body on the plea filed by his wife Kala.
Meantime, the relatives of the Maoists came to the fore saying that it was a fake encounter at Manjikandy in Attapadi. Murukesh, brother of Karthik, demanded justice for them.
