COIMBATORE: Coimbatore court has sentenced solar case accused Saritha S Nair to three years in jail and asked her to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.
The verdict was delivered in a case in which she duped a Coimbatore native and business man Thyagarajan into giving Sartiha’s company Rs 26 lakh, based on the promise that windmill would be installed for him.
Two others including Saritha’s manager will also have to undergo the same punishment. The court also found company official Biju Radhakrishnan and R P Ravi guilty in the case. They were also awarded the same punishment.
In the company started as International consultancy and management services, Saritha Nair was the Executive director, Biju Radhakrishnan the managing director and R P Ravi was the director.
In the complaint filed by Vadavally Raj Narayanan Textiles Managing director Thyagarajan, it is said that Saritha and others of the company cheated him out of Rs 26 lakh under the pretext of wind mill installation.
