KOCHI: There is some confusion on the registration process of the luxurious car owned by film director and director Prithviraj. The actor recently bought a Range Rover Vogue. Motor vehicle department officials blocked an attempt of the vehicle dealer to get a temporary registration of the vehicle worth Rs 1.34 crore. The dealer filed an application for temporary registration of the vehicle at the Ernakulam R T Office. However, an inspection by officials found that a less of Rs 30 lakh was noticed in the market price of the vehicle. The dealer’s argument was that it was after celebrity discount given to the actor. The application for registration valued Rs 1.34 crore for the vehicle.

No matter how much dealers give discounts on luxury vehicles, officials are of the stand that a tax of twenty one percent of the original price should be paid. The actor will now have to pay nearly nine lakh for completing the registration process of the vehicle.
