THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A petition has been lodged with the DGP against M. Swaraj MLA for his response on the Ayodhya verdict on Facebook. Following the verdict, Swaraj had posted on Facebook, “Innocent people, did you hope for another verdict in present-day India?” The complaint was lodged by Yuva Morcha state president Prakash Babu. Many lashed Swaraj on Facebook for his post.

The police had earlier nabbed another person in Thrissur for celebrating the verdict by bursting crackers. In Maharashtra, the police booked Sanjay Rameshwar for his celebratory Facebook post following the verdict. The court had ordered against celebrations in relation to the Ayodhya verdict.
