THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Devotees are staging protests at St Joseph Metopolitan Cathedral in Palayam. A section of the devotees came forward staging protests following the burial of a body belonging to another diocese at the cemetery of Pattoor Church coming under the Palayam Church.

Mithun Markose of Vettucaud diocese died in an accident ten years back. His body was kept at the cellar of Vettucaud church.

His body was buried at the Pattoor Church last week. Following the incident, a section of the believers staged protests. They alleged that the church committee accepted money and gave permission to bury it. A meet is being convened to solve the issue. People from Bishop's House are attending it.
