NEW DELHI: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus is witnessing a dramatic event on Monday as several students participated in a protest against a recent fee hike in the University.

A large police unit has been deployed in the area. The situation is turning to be violent as several students were seen clashing with police.

The protest is led by JNU Students' Union. According to a member of the union, the protest is against a draft hostel manual which mentions about fee hike, and introduction of dress code.
