NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court will pronounce the verdict in the case of women entry in Sabarimala tomorrow which was much awaited by the nation after the Ayodhya verdict. A bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will pronounce the verdict. Most probably the verdict will be pronounced tomorrow morning at 10.30 am. The verdict will be pronounced on the review pleas. Almost 56 review pleas are before the court on women entry in Sabarimala. The verdict will be on whether women of all ages should be permitted to enter Sabarimala or not.

A bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will pronounce the verdict on the review pleas filed against the verdict pronounced on September 28, 2018 permitting women of all ages to enter Sabarimala. A bench led by former Chief Justice Dipak Mishra pronounced the verdict on the pleas filed in 2009 by Young Lawyers Association seeking to remove the ban on women entry in Sabarimala. Soon after the verdict, huge protests were witnessed in Kerala. 56 complaints including review and writ pleas against the verdict are before the court. Argument on the pleas were heard in May but postponed pronouncing the verdict.

The much awaited Ayodhya verdict was pronounced on Friday. The verdict was to give the disputed land to Hindus and instead asked to give five acres of land for the mosque. Now the verdict on Sabarimala women entry is the most expected one.

Travancore Devaswom Board president A Padma Kumar said whatever the verdict be will accept it. We are optimistic and everyone should accept the verdict, he said.
