NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday broke his silence on the prevailing confusion in Maharashtra. During an interview, Shah said that any party that claims to have the necessary numbers can approach the governor in Maharashtra.
While dismissing Shiv Sena's demands, Shah added that no other state in the country was given as much time to settle the disputes and form a government. It must be noted that Maharashtra was placed under President's rule on Tuesday.
He also added that the BJP had never offered the CM post to Shiv Sena. "Before elections, the Prime Minister and I said many times in public that if our alliance wins then Devendra Fadnavis will be the CM, no one objected back then. Now they have come up with new demands which are not acceptable to us," he added.
