KOZHIKODE: Alan Shuhaib, one of the two CPM activists arrested for Maoist links, has been sent to police custody till November 15. He was presented in the Kozhikode Sessions court on Wednesday afternoon. Thaha, another accused, was not presented in court as he was suffering from fever.

Earlier, Alan had complained in the court that the jail wardens ill-treated him by addressing him as 'Maoist.' He also accused the jail officials of denying him food. While returning from court, he added that certain people are attempting to portray him as a terrorist through social media posts.

While he was brought to the hospital, Thaha said that he hasn't admitted the crime to the officials. It is learnt that the court will make a decision regarding Thaha's custody tomorrow.
