IDUKKI: Power Minister M M Mani has expressed his regret over his slip of the tongue on Thursday while making reference to Jawaharlal Nehru during his speech on Children’s day.
The minister made a serious blunder while speaking at a public meeting organised at Kattapana as part of All India Cooperative anniversary.
On his Facebook page he says:
“I regret for the mistake I made in my reference on reverent Jawaharlal Nehru in my speech while taking part in Cooperative anniversary yesterday(14.11.2019),” he wrote.
In his speech on Thursday he had said that
“We all know that today is an auspicious day. It is the day when Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru breathed his last. He is a respectable person, who played a major role in shaping up Cooperative institutions in India. He fought against British and had been our prime prime minister for a long time. Dear brothers and sisters, let us begin this great conference by paying respect to him”.
