THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As the controversy around mark moderation in Kerala University is still doing its round, Vice-Chancellor on Sunday ordered to cancel the extra marks provided through moderation. Following this, the mark list of those who availed moderation will also be cancelled. The manipulations were carried out by altering the original moderation marks decided by the university.
Apart from the preliminary investigation headed by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, the authorities have sought expert assistance regarding the issue. It is learnt that a detailed examination will be conducted to check whether the software had any malfunction. Marks have been corrected several times in the same test. The irregularities were noticed in the exams held between 2016 and 2019. The irregularities occurred in 12 examinations of professional degree courses.
