The teaser of Kangana Ranaut's latest film 'Thalaivi' was released earlier on Saturday. The film, which is based on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha, is directed by AL Vijay. The teaser shows Kangana portraying various phases of Jayalalitha's life.

However, the actress's look has not been received well by social media. Several people have come out criticizing the actress for using heavy prosthetic makeup which apparently gives her a 'fake look.' Some even went on to say that the actress does not resemble the former CM in any way.

'Thalaivi' is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad who wrote the script of blockbuster films like Baahubali, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Manikarnika. GV Prakash composes music for the film while Nirav Shah handles cinematography.
