KABUL: Reports said almost 900 ISIS militants and their families from Nangarhar province in Afghanistan have surrendered before the Afghan security forces. Of these ten are Indians and majority of them are reported as Keralites.

The Afghan forces started the attack at Nangarhar province on November 12. Within hours of the attack, 93 ISIS terrorists had surrendered and 12 of them are from Pakistani.

The details of those surrendered are being collected. Of the 10 Indians who surrendered, majority includes a team of women and children from Kerala. They have been brought to Kabul.

Though some have been killed in the aerial strike, Afghan security forces said there are a lot of Indian ISIS militants in Nangarhar. In 2016 about 12 people left Kerala to join ISIS in Afghanistan.
