A migrant labourer from West Bengal had a lucky blessing through Pournami lottery. Shubha Burman, a labourer in a halwa production unit in Karunagappally in Kollam, came to Kerala nine months back. He is a native of Naxalbari in West Bengal. Shubha won the first prize of Rs 70 lakhs. He’ll be getting about Rs 45 lakhs after tax.

Shubhan’s boss helped him open a savings account and gave the ticket to the bank. Ticket from Karunagappally was lucky enough to win for the third time after Onam bumper.
