KOCHI: The CBI court appointed by the high court has resumed the trial proceedings in the actress attack case. Out of the ten accused, eight appeared in the court on Saturday.

The bail of ninth accused Sanal Kumar, who didn’t turn up, was cancelled. The case will be considered again on Tuesday. Dileep had gone abroad as part of a film’s promotion after taking permission from the court.

But now, the court has directed all the accused including Dileep to be present on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the court has rejected second accused Manikantan’s petition, seeking to shift him to another jail. The Supreme Court had already directed the government to complete the trial of the case within six months.

Dileep may also submit a petition, seeking permission to examine the visuals of the attack on the actress.
