THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Police will rent a helicopter for rescue operations and to counter Naxal activities. A deal has been agreed with a company named Power Hans to use a helicopter for 20 hours each month.
During Kerala Floods, the unavailability of helicopters affected the rescue operations a lot. This made the authorities to rent a chopper. Central funds will be used for this. The chopper will be having 11 seats. The government will have to pay Rs 1 crore and 44 lakhs as rent per month. The agreement will be signed on December 10.
