THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has asked not to tarnish the reputation of the universities in Kerala. Kerala has a long tradition in the education sector. Don’t add water to it. Such actions should not come from anyone’s side, he said while talking to the media.
The Governor said he has not accepted the secretary’s report on misuse of power by Minister K T Jaleel. The report of governor’s secretary had asserted that the minister shouldn’t have participated in the adalat of the technical university. It has also mentioned that the vice chancellor shouldn’t have approved the decision to revaluate the answer sheets of a failed student a third time. The media sought a response from the governor regarding this.
Meantime, the governor said the MG University has identified and corrected their mistakes in the mark donation row. He said no further steps will be taken in the incident now. The university has taken action outside the jurisdiction. A meet of the vice chancellors will be convened on December 16. All issues will be discussed then, he added.
