SABARIMALA: Use of mobile phones on top of the pathinettampadi at Sannidhanam has been strictly banned. The devaswom board decided to impose a ban following the circulation of clippings of the sree kovil in the social media. An order on it will be released soon.

Though there was a ban earlier in using mobile phone at Sannidhanam, it was not implemented strictly. Following that, many had circulated the pictures of the sree kovil and the idol in the social media. In the wake of it, the board decided to strictly enforce the ban on mobile phones.

A decision on it was taken two days back. In the first phase, the clippings will be deleted from the phone of those violating the ban and in the second phase their phones will be seized and a case will also be registered.

A decision has also been taken to take action against those trying to tarnish the image of Sabarimala in the social media. Some had falsely propagated that a dead lizard was found in Aravana. The board had lodged a complaint against it to the DGP.
