THRISSUR: Thrissur police have filed a case against a mother on the basis of a complaint filed by her own 12-year-old daughter. The girl disclosed this shocking fact during a counselling at her school.

“My mother used to show me porn videos on the internet and for the past two years she has been doing bad things to me. She used to touch me badly on different parts of my body,” she told the Childline counsellors, who informed the police.

The police reached the spot and filed the case on the basis of the complaint of the child.

Meanwhile, the police are carefully examining the statements of the child as well as her mental state. The girl comes from a poor family and the police are evaluating whether the girl had mistaken the behaviour of her mother for sexual abuse. Both mother and daughter were subjected to counselling.

The case is seen as the rarest of rare case reaching the hands of Kerala police. The police are also trying to find out whether the girl’s complaint is a figment of her imagination.
