THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rs 1000 crore set apart for post-flood reconstruction works under the Rebuild Kerala project is remaining un-utilised. Not even a rupee has been spent from that fund.
This information was available in the review report of the project. An amount of Rs 250crore each was set apart for panchayat roads, roads under Public Works department, destroyed livelihoods and renovation of buildings.
Among the chief minister’s departments, only the personnel and administrative reforms department has spent the highest amount. Out of Rs 23.5 crore, Rs 14.4 crore (61.31%) was spent.
Home department- out of Rs 311.75 cr, Rs 60.42 (19.38 % ) was spent. Public Administration department out of Rs 50.9 cr, Rs 12.9 cr (25.34 %) was spent.
Out of Rs 1643 cr set apart for big projects, Rs 70.97 cr ( 4.32% ) was spent. Balance amount is Rs 1572.35 cr
