EZHUKON: A two-year old child fell into the well in front of his house and died at Ezhukon in Kollam on Wednesday.

The dead has been identified as Irumbanangadu Maranadu Pallimukku Sunil Sadanam resident Abhinav. He was the son of solider Sunil Kumar and Nisha. The incident happened at 12:30 noon on Wednesday.

The wall of the well doesn’t have much height and the mud that sweeped into the house premise during rain had deposited near the well. While his grandmother was giving water to the cattle, Abhinav walked into the mud pile, slipped and fell into the well.

The locals who reached the spot, hearing the cry of the family members, took out the child and rushed him to a private hospital in Kollam but his life could not be saved.
Sunil had come home on leave just a two days ago.
