NEW DELHI: Latest reports suggest that Congress MPs TN Prathapan and Dean Kuriakose might face suspension for allegedly threatening Smriti Irani MP. It is learnt that the BJP MPs will raise the issue on Monday.

The incident occurred in the Lok Sabha when Union Minister Smriti Irani was speaking on the Unnao rape issue. While the minister started speaking on the Unnao case, the Congress MPs began shouting and raising a protest against her. Following this, BJP MPs sought apology from the Congress MPs.

Meanwhile, Congress chief whip Kodukkunnil Suresh said that the party would oppose the move to suspend the MPs.
