KANNUR: A case has been registered against three Maoists in Kannur under UAPA Act. Cases were registered against three identifiable persons including ‘Maoist Sundari’. It is learnt that they were in a colony in Peravoor on December 2.

Maoist leader ‘Sundari’ is the leader of the group, consisting of women and two men. The case was registered on an allegation that these Maoists called for an armed rebellion and threatened people. As per information, the group also sloganeered pro-Maoist slogans. The police have intensified search on noticing the presence of Maoists in the region.
