KOZHIKODE: A group of school students was found celebrating a classmate's birthday by bursting crackers on the roof of a tourist bus. The incident occurred in Thamarassery while the group was on its way to Bengaluru as part of the tour program. A video showing the birthday celebrations has evoked criticism from various corners.

It is learnt that the students belong to Korangad Govt Vocational Higher Secondary School in Kozhikode. The group started their tour program on December 1. Police said that they have initiated an investigation about the incident.
