THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The authorities of the University of Kerala charged whopping amounts of over Rs 100 as parking fees from those who came to witness the second T20I match between India and West Indies at the Greenfield International Stadium, Karyavattom.
The parking of vehicles was arranged at the Karyavattom University campus, Karyavattom B.Ed college and the LNCP campus. It must be noted that the Cricket Association had not issued any notification regarding the parking fees before the match.
Meanwhile, reports suggested that no parking fees were charged during the previous matches held in the ground. While the two-wheelers were charged Rs 100, four-wheelers were charged Rs 250. The receipts also said that the University will not be responsible for damage or theft of vehicles.
