THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An amount of Rs 14,000 and gold of 15 sovereigns were stolen from Mahila Morcha state president Jayanthy’s house in Mannanthala. Jayanthy and her husband Radhakrishnan Nair were at their son’s house last night. As usual, when they returned this morning at 8 am, they found the front door broke opened. The ornaments and cash kept in the almirah of their bedroom were found stolen. On being informed by Radhakrishnan Nair, the Mannanthala police started a probe. Forensic experts will reach the place to collect evidence. The police are trying to locate the CCTV footages from the camera installed in the house.
