KOCHI: A youth died after running over by a lorry in the heart of Kochi city. The dead has been identified as Yadhulal, a native of Koonamavu. He fell into the pothole dug by water authority and then was run over by a lorry. The youth, who was on the bike, fell on the road while trying to swerve his bike seeing the pothole. Soon a lorry coming behind ran over him.

Though he was taken to a nearby hospital, his life could not be saved. It has been alleged that the water authority was not ready to take any steps and close the pothole even after widespread protests.

Yadhulal was an online food delivery boy. The accident happened in front of the metro station in Palarivattom.
