THRISSUR: ABVP activists were beaten up cruelly by the SFI for organising a seminar supporting Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) at the Kerala Varma College. The incident happened Wednesday morning at 9.30 am. Three ABVP activists who sustained serious injuries have been admitted at a private hospital in the district.

The ABVP activists had tried to organise a seminar in the campus the other day supporting CAA. However, the SFI intervened and blocked it. Following that, they organised the seminar on the road outside the campus. They had announced to protest today against permission denied to organise the seminar. While staging protests, they entered classrooms and asked students to partake in it. This provoked the SFI activists. Soon, they brought them to the veranda and beat them up brutally. The girls who came to calm the situation were also not spared.
