THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister’s Office said that steps are being taken for the safe return of students trapped in Mangalore amidst anti-CAA protests. KSRTC buses from Kasaragod depot were sent to Mangalore in order to bring the students home.

The students were trapped in Mangalore due to curfew. The govt plans to send more buses if needed and bring back the students with police protection.

The actions were taken under the leadership of the Kasaragod district collector. As per the directions from the CM, top officials have contacted officials in Karnataka including the police chief and the CM has requested the Karnataka govt to ensure the safety of students.
