THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has come up with a question to PM Narendra Modi in connection with Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said that people should get an answer to how religion becomes ineligible when citizenship is determined.
“PM’s statements that religion and caste are not criteria for implementing projects should be proved through action. The protests across the nation are against the unconstitutional moves to divide people on the basis of religion. The people should get an answer to how religion becomes ineligible when citizenship is determined”, CM said.
“When the people raise questions against wrong approaches and communal moves, the answer should be factual not emotional”, Pinarayi Vijayan added.
“Why try to cover up the words of Amit Shah regarding CAA and NRC?” CM asked.
“The PM asked for 50 days during the demonetization period and never mentioned it again. The same emotional performance is seen today as well. In order to justify demonetization, fake currency, black money and terrorism were brought up. The people wish to hear what the current situation of these”, CM said.
