THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Earlier in the day, a fake news report circulated, saying that actor Mohan Raj known as Keerikadan Jose is in a very bad health/financial condition and financial aid is being sought for his treatment.

But Jose’s younger brother Premlal told Kumudy TV that the news about his brother is fake. He said that the photo of his brother seeking treatment for varicose vein was being falsely propagated through social media with the intention to degrade their family.

“We shall lodge a complaint with the police against these people. My brother was under treatment in Appolo hospital for diabetes. His condition worsened due to the over-dozing of medicines.

We shifted to the General hospital as a doctor known to us is currently working in this hospital. He got admitted and has been undergoing treatment for the past one month.

The treatment is almost complete. Contrary to what is being propagated, we have no financial difficulties. He retired as Enforcement Assistant Director. His wife is a senior bank manager. We have no financial difficulties. We have seven to eight flats in Chennai and a good bank balance. Some are deliberately trying to demean us now. We shall file a defamation case against those who propagate the photo to create a wrong impression,” Premlal said.

Mohanraj is an actor who had earned a place in the mind of Malayalis through films like Kireedom, Chenkol, to name a few.
