THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: According to police, anchor and model Jagee John (45) is likely to have slipped down and fell to death. The injury on the back of her head seen during the inquest and the slipper seen in the room led to the conclusion that she may have slipped and fell to death. The house was found locked from inside. The police could not find any evidences on the entry of anyone from outside.

ൊ Her aged mother Gracy was at home but she appeared to be mentally unsound and gave contradictory statements. So, the police was not able to collect more evidences from her. Forensic experts reached her house and collected evidences. Those close to her told police that there are no circumstances for her to take the extreme step. The police could not find a suicide note from the house. After the inquest, the body was taken to medical college hospital for post mortem. Only after the post mortem, the reason for the death can be known.

She may have died Sunday afternoon. When one of her male friends working in Ernakulam tried calling her several times and when she did not attend the calls, he sought the help of a doctor next to her residence, to check on her. She came but could not open the door. She soon alerted the police and they broke opened the door and got inside.

Jagee, a native of Kottarakkara, was staying in a house in Kuravankonam. She got divorced from her husband seven years back. She was a celebrity chef, anchor, singer and yoga trainer. She was an anchor for ‘Cock Tail’, a programme aired in Kaumudy TV.
