KOZHIKODE: The BJP state leadership disowned Yuva Morcha state secretary Sandeep Warrier after his Facebook post against film actors sparked a controversy. His response was personal and it was not party’s opinion, BJP state general secretary M T Ramesh told reporters here.

‘Everyone has a personal opinion. Social media is used to express one’s opinion. Personal opinions need not be considered as party’s opinions. BJP has no politics of vengeance and there is no such move from the central government,’ he said.

Sandeep Warrier came forward threatening film actors after they staged protests in public against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). If they are caught evading tax tomorrow, don’t shed tears calling it political vendetta. No weed-smoking teams will be there with you then to take out a march (sic),” he said in the post.
