KOCHI: An old woman in Chunakkara in Mavelikkara was a victim of brutal thrashings from her own son. As per police sources, a dispute regarding the partitioning of assets ended this way.

As per complaints from the locals, Bhavani Amma was beaten up by Balakrishnan Nair- a former military officer. Bhavani Amma was entered into Mavelikkara Taluk Hospital. Nooranad police said that a case will be filed against the son. Bhavani Amma is a mother of three.
