KOTTAYAM: The latest report suggests that an error has been found in the number of students who were awarded moderation by the Mahatma Gandhi University. Though the university had initially published a list of 118 students who were awarded moderation, it has now come up revealing that moderation was awarded to just 116 students.
According to sources, certain officials in the university had committed a mistake by including two more students in the list of those who received moderation. It is learnt that the authorities have taken strict action against those officials who have committed the mistake. While two section officers have been reportedly suspended, it is learnt that transfer orders have been handed over to three other officials including a joint registrar.
