SABARIMALA: The Sabarimala temple will be opened for the Makaravilakku festival on Monday evening. Head priest AK Sudheer will open the sanctum sanctorum at 5 pm on Monday. Devotees will be able to visit the temple after this.

The annual Makaravilakku festival will be celebrated on January 15. Various departments have completed the preparations for the Makaravilakku festival.

Hundreds of devotees from various parts of the country have reached the region to participate in the festival.
