THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the special Assembly session convened today for passing resolution against CAA, it forgot to pay homage to the late minister and Kuttanad MLA Thomas Chandy.
If a people’s representative dies, there is a normal practice in the Assembly to commemorate that person.
The Assembly that met on Tuesday directly took up the main topic in the agenda without paying respect to Thomas Chandy. K S Sabarinadhan took exception to this and gave a letter to the Speaker, expressing his disapproval.
“The incident was unfortunate and it was breach of Assembly practices,” he wrote.
