MARAYUR: A fight broke out in a bus over seating issue. In the scuffle two women sustained injuries. The incident happened at Marayur when the KSRTC bus in which they were travelling was proceeding to Udumalpetta from Munnar. A heavy rush was witnessed in the bus. A woman of Dindigal who took ticket to Udumalpetta from Munnar did not get a seat till Marayur. She tried to sit on top of the engine box which is near the driver.

A housewife hailing from Marayur also came to sit here. The two then got into an argument with each other. Though the passengers and the conductor tried to bring the situation under control, it failed. Marayur additional sub inspector Anil K K and team reached the spot and deboarded the two from the bus. The bus later continued its service.
