Anu Sithara is a popular actress in the Malayalam film industry and went on to win many hearts with her performances in films like Captain, Oru Kuprasidha Payyan and Ramante Edanthottam. The actress is happy to be part of the historical film. She is now happy to have worked with Mammootty and is satisfied to have done a historical character, a role which she has not done before.

She played Manikyam, wife of Unni Mukundan who portrayed Chandroth Panicker in Mamangam. She opened her mind in an interview to Kerala Kaumudi on her role in the film.

“Manikyam was the character I played in the film. Though the role was small, I had to do it emotionally. My character shows the condition of wives of men going as suicide squads. I played wife of Chandroth Panicker (Unni Mukundan) in the film. Wives should not cry when husbands go as suicide squads. They should withstand the pain without showing it. I'm usually one who gets worried quickly. Truly speaking, I found it difficult to do the role,’ she said.
