PATHANAMTHITTA: Travancore Devaswom Board president N Vasu on Friday said that the board will give priority to the faith of believers regarding the entry of women to the Sabarimala temple. While adding that the board will oppose the entry of women to the temple, Vasu added that the affidavit submitted by the board in 2016 continues to exist. "The affidavit submitted in 2016 still exists. The board has not been asked about its stand. If the board is quizzed about it, we will hold a meeting and take an appropriate decision. A new affidavit will be based on this decision," he said.

The topic of entry of women to the temple is being considered by the court. Earlier, the review petitions on the case were transferred to a nine-judge bench of the apex court. In this context, the older judgment doesn't seem to prevail, Vasu added.
