THRISSUR: Four of two families were killed after a car rammed into the pedestrians in Thrissur. They have been identified as Subran (54), his daughter Prajitha (29), Balu (52) and his son Vipin (29), all natives of Kottanalloor.

The incident happened early Tuesday morning at 1 am. The car rammed onto them when they were returning home after the festival at Thumbur Ayyappan Kavil.

Those injured in the accident has been admitted at a private hospital in Mala. The condition of one among them is stated to be serious.

The car which rammed into the pedestrians was driven by youths of Paingode. Aalur police has taken them into custody.
