THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Reports say Kummanam Rajasekharan, former BJP state president and Mizoram governor, is considered for the national vice president post of the party. The reports came just hours left for the announcement of BJP district presidents.
The move is considering RSS' displeasure for not giving any posts to him. Meantime, uncertainty on who will be made BJP state president continues. Krishnadas faction has an upper hand in the election of district president. They hope this will be reflected in the announcement of the state president. The BJP central leadership has taken a decision on the state president even before the district presidential election.
The central leadership has decided to keep the matter secret until the district office bearers are announced. Leaders from the centre had reached Kerala last week to understand the minds of the state leadership for the chief’s post. The RSS wants representation of youth in the state leadership. V Muraleedharan faction wants K Surendran to the post of party state chief. P K Krishnadas faction suggested the name of M T Ramesh. Sobha Surendran's name is heard as a neutral candidate. Names of Suresh Gopi was also heard.
