NEW DELHI: IRCTC informed that they will continue to provide popular Kerala items and snacks like before. There were widespread protests for omitting Kerala items from the menu. Following criticisms, IRCTC has now decided to restore the previously dropped food items.

Puttu, kadala curry, appam, porotta, pazhampori, ilayada, kozhukatta, unniappam, neyyappam and sukhiyan will be restored again and served in trains and railway stations. The list released had dropped these Kerala items and replaced it with some north Indian items.

IRCTC informed that regional offices have been given full authority to include more items considering the demands of the passengers.
