NEW DELHI: The post-mortem proceedings of the eight who were found dead in a hotel room in Nepal have been completed. The autopsy was completed Wednesday afternoon at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. The bodies of the eight will be sent home from Kathmandu Thursday morning at 11 am.

All the embalmed bodies will be sent in one flight via Delhi. It was earlier decided to bring the bodies in two flights.

The eight tourists from Kerala were found dead in a resort at Daman in Nepal. The dead identified as Praveen Kumar Nair of Chengottukonam in the capital city, his wife Sharanya, children Sreebadhra, Archa and Abhinav and Renjith of Kundamangalam in Kozhikode, his wife Indu Lakshmi and son Vaishnav. They died after inhaling carbon monoxide from the gas heater. As Madhav, eldest son of Renjith was sleeping in another room, he escaped from it.

Meantime, Nepal has announced a probe on the incident. An investigating panel has been entrusted by the Nepal Tourism Department.
