KOCHI: The CBI on Thursday conducted a raid at actress Leena Maria's beauty parlour at Panampally Nagar in Ernakulam. The raid was conducted on the basis of information which suggested that Leena has links with those who blackmailed a businessman in Hyderabad. The raid which began around 9 lasted till afternoon.

According to reports, two persons, claiming to be CBI officials, had blackmailed the businessman over a case and attempted to extort money from him. The criminals had even spoofed the phone number of the CBI office in Delhi for this purpose.

In 2018. a firing had taken place at Leena's beauty parlour. Police later found out that it was Mumbai based gangster was behind this attack,
