WAYANAD: Raising more allegations against the church leadership, sister Lucy Kalappura, who was dismissed recently from the Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC) of the Catholic Church over grounds of indiscipline, said the church authorities are trying to starve her to death.
She stated that no action has been taken by the police even after filing three complaints against the church authorities. She has also made two appeals to the Vatican against her dismissal from FCC. Mananthavady Munsiff Court had stayed the expulsion temporarily. The plea will be again considered on January 29.
Speaking to a media, Lucy Kalappura has also alleged discrimination in the convent and said she has equal right like other sisters.
Sister Lucy had earlier said about priests visiting convent in the name of visit and making sexual exploitation through her book 'Karthavinte Naamathil'. She alleged attempts of assault and abuse against her after she became a nun.
