THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state of Kerala witnessed a massive human chain against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on Sunday under the leadership of the LDF. The human chain was formed from Kasargod to Kaliyakkavilai at 4 pm in the evening.

While CPM politburo member S Ramachandran Pilla was the first link of the chain leader MA Baby was the last link to the chain at Kaliyakkavilai. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan joined the human chain at Palayam in Thiruvananthapuram.

The program had begun by reading out the Preamble of the constitution and pledging to safeguard the constitution. The program, which lasted for one hour, also included meetings at various locations across the state.
