Shah Rukh Khan is one Bollywood actor who has inspired generations in more ways than one. Apart from being an exceptional actor, he has set examples which encourage people to live in harmony. We caught a glimpse of something similar on the sets of Dance Plus Season 5.

Shah Rukh made a special appearance on the dance reality show Dance Plus Season 5 and said that he has taught his children that they are Indians with no religion. He said, "Humne kabhi Hindu-Musalman ki baat hi nahi ki. Meri biwi jo hai Hindu hai, main Musalman hu aur mere jo bachche hai woh Hindustan hain. (We never talked about Hindu and Muslims. My wife is Hindu, I'm Muslim and my children are Hindustan)."

He added, "Kai baar school main woh bharna padta hai ki religion kya hai. Jab meri beti chhoti thi toh usne aake pucha mujhse ki papa hum kaunse religion ke hai. Toh maine usme ye likha ki hum Indian hi hain yaar. Koi religion nahi hai. Aur hona bhi nahi chahiye. (In school we have to write our religion. When my daughter was young she asked me what religion we belong to. I told her that we are Indians and have no religion)."

This is not the first time Shah Rukh Khan has said that no religion is imposed inside his house. He has said that every religion is welcomed in his house and they celebrate all festivals. In an earlier interview, SRK had said, "I gave my son and daughter names that could pass for generic (pan-India and pan-religious) ones - Aryan and Suhana. The Khan has been bequeathed by me so they can’t really escape it."

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The film tanked at the box office and left the star extra cautious about his next projects. He is currently reading scripts for his upcoming film.
