THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K Muraleedharan MP reiterated that he is ready to quit his chairman post of KPCC campaign committee. I had informed this directly to Sonia Gandhi. I am very busy being an MP. If the party asks me to vacate the post I am ready for it. Sonia Gandhi will take a decision on whether working presidents should continue or not.

The party political affairs committee had earlier prepared the list of 280 KPCC members. The decision taken by the committee was to make all those included in the list office members. But when the list was published, the decision was just the opposite. I questioned that serious mistake. I am not concerned about the merits of those listed. Many in the party concocted stories against me. Overall, I welcome the present list of few members. However, the leadership misled the policy taken by the political affairs committee. I don't understand then why a political affairs committee. It is the party’s highest committee of 21-members. If the decision of such a committee does not exist then there is no need to say anything else.

I expressed my views at the leadership training camp organized by DCC in Thiruvananthapuram. It is a party venue. If all this is not said, then why camps are conducted? Leaders must understand why party camps are conducted. What are the obstacles to the party's journey ahead, how can it be solved--all these things should be discussed in the party camp. Therefore, what I have said is not violation of discipline. KPCC chief who always ask us to express our opinions at party platforms has not called a meeting of political affairs committee for the past five months. When committees are not called, our opinions will be expressed outside. I have stated it before and will say again.

The leadership is trying to publish the list including KPCC secretaries and executive members. There is no need for such a list.

UDF activists who took part in LDF’s human chain should be brought back after convincing them. The party should take the risk.

The government's refusal to respond to the resolution passed by the opposition leader in the Assembly to call back the governor means that Pinarayi Vijayan has close ties with the BJP.
