NEW DELHI: Air India’s special flight will leave India for Wuhan to bring back Indians stranded there in the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus. The Boeing 747 from Mumbai reached Delhi and will leave at noon. The flight will leave to Wuhan with 16 employees. A medical team including two doctors will also fly.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar had the other day asserted that 600 Indians including students have so far contacted the Indian Embassy in Beijing.

The embassy in Beijing informed that they have sought permission to land the flight in Wuhan and Hubai and once permission is obtained, will take steps to fly the Indians back to the country.

There are almost 1200 Indians in China. Nobody will be brought forcefully. Has directed those interested in returning to give their names. The Indian Embassy in Beijing is working round the clock to help the Indians. In the meanwhile, steps are being taken to bring the foreigners who returned to their home countries back to China.
